$10 Indian Gold Eagle Coin AU (Random Year)

The $10 Indian Gold Eagle coin AU was minted from 1907 to 1933. There are a larger number of them available, as many of these coins survived the Gold Reserve Act of 1934. These Gold coins hold a denomination of $10 and are extremely popular with precious metals collectors.

The history behind this coin is truly unique. President Theodore Roosevelt felt that the country’s current currency was bland and required a new and more artistically designed coin. In 1904, Roosevelt selected the famous sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens to take on the design of the coin. After designing Roosevelt’s inaugural medal, Saint-Gaudens took inspiration from the inaugural medal and created the bust of Lady Liberty with a Native American headdress on the obverse of the coin. He designed the reverse to behold the iconic eagle standing atop a bundle of arrows and an olive branch, much like the reverse of the inaugural medal he had originally designed.

Priced at 2.1% over spot!

The classic $20 Liberty Gold Double Eagle AU coin is widely recognized nationwide. The $20 Liberty Gold Double Eagle coin was the result of the California Gold Rush and the resulting influx of gold sent to the United States Mint. The $10 Eagle coin was already in existence, and the $20 Double Eagle Coin was created as a $20 coin that would be worth “double” that of the existing $10 Eagle. The $20 Liberty Gold coin was minted from 1850 to 1907. An important addition was made to the coin in 1866, the motto “In God We Trust” was added to the Double Eagle, an addition often sought after by seasoned Liberty Gold Double Eagle collectors.
