The 2017 Great British Gold Sovereign is a beautiful Gold coin and is known as the flagship coin of the British Royal Mint.  For nearly 200 years, English, now British Sovereigns have been produced by the Royal Mint and the design is truly classic.  Collectors around the globe have favored the British Gold Sovereign in their precious metals collections.

This is the special edition coin that celebrates the 200th anniversary of the British Sovereign design.  The flagship coin features a unique shield MintMark just under the defeated dragon to celebrate the anniversary.  The obverse pictures Queen Elizabeth II in profile while the reverse, designed by Benedetto Pistrucci, shows a mounted St. George slaying a dragon.
