This coin is made of Fine Silver, and is identical to the 2019 1 oz Austrian Gold Philharmonic! The detail and ornate design of these coins is classy and refined, as it derives its inspiration from the Orchestral make up of the Austrian Symphonic Orchestra.On the coins obverse is the Great Organ of the Musikverein Concert Hall in Vienna, Austria. On the coins reverse is an assortment of instruments, including a Viennese horn, a harp, a bassoon, violins, cellos, and a string bass.

Designed by Thomas Pesendorfer, the obverse side shows the majestic Pipe Organ from the Musikverein Golden Hall. The reverse side of the coin depicts many of the philharmonic’s musical instruments, including musical instruments including a Vienna horn, harp, bassoon and 4 violins centered around a cello.
Originating in 1842, the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra is considered to be the most talented orchestra in the world. It is also well known for its inclusion of unique instruments not found in other orchestras. Both the obverse and the reverse of the Philharmonic coins represent the rich history of classical music in Austria, specifically the world famous philharmonic.
The Austrian Mint was founded in 1194 and began by originally producing Shillings. The Mint now produces various bullion coins including Gold Philharmonics, Silver Philharmonics, as well as the Euros used in Austria as a part of the European Union.
