The Australian 1 oz Platinum Koala is a popular Platinum coin produced by the Perth Mint.  This beautiful coin with the well loved iconic Koala is one troy ounce of 99.95% fine Platinum.  The design is well recognized and features Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse side.  Each year has a unique design with the Koala, a small marsupial native to Australia.  These coins are random years of our choice and the Koala design on the reverse side will vary.

Australian Platinum Koalas are actual legal tender coins in Australia,  but they sell at prices based on the value of their Platinum content, not the actual face value on the coin.  The Perth Mint originally approved minting of the Platinum Koalas in 1988, and also mints Silver Koala coins.

These Common Date Platinum Koalas are Brilliant Uncirculated and are eligible for Precious Metals IRAs.
