Mint Mark SI™ is an exclusive Scrambled Indicia security feature for all SMI brand bullion products. This is micro-engraving that is only visible by placing the Mint Mark SI™ decoding lens over the security pad.  Place the Decoder Lens over the MINT MARK SI^™ security seal on the reverse side of your Sunshine Minting bullion bars or rounds and the word “VALID” will appear at a certain angle. Turn the decoder card 90 degrees (vertical) and a sunburst pattern emerges.
