The Mexican 1 oz Gold Libertad is a beautiful Gold coin with historic Mexican imagery.    The Gold Libertads are extremely popular with World Gold collectors due to their limited mintage and unique design.   In 2016, only 4,800 1 oz Gold Libertads were minted by Bando de México and their limited mintage means they are rarely seen in North America, thus commanding a strong premium.

These Gold Libertad design features the Mexican National Shield surrounded by a variety of historic coats of Mexican arms on the obverse side of the coin.  The reverse features the beautiful “Winged Victory” in front of the famous Mexican volcanoes, Iztaccíhuatl and Popocatépetl  in the background.

The Gold Libertads are 1 troy oz coins struck in .999 fine Gold.  Limited mintage of Gold Libertads make them highly desirable by both collectors, but also results in higher premiums than 1 oz Gold coins from other countries such as the U.S. and Canada.
